17c. Glass Bottom Boat Tour

The Beach Maya Hotel & Resort sits on a soft sand beach right in the middle of the Placencia Peninsula.
It provides seclusion and comfort.

Maya Beach isn't quite a town, but it has a few small restaurants and a good local shop for necessities. Placencia Village is a pretty Creole town at the end of the peninsula, and you can drive, bus or taxi to town.

Hotel features only intimate rooms, each with its' own personality and theme such as Coconut, Hibiscus, Hummingbird, Toucan, Jaguar. Each room has different view. Amenities vary.

In addition to main building, we have 3 beach house units. "Joya Del Mar" and "Dreamsicle House - upper and lower level and Studio unit" and "Aqua Villa House" .

The standard rooms have queen beds, large screened windows, tiled or hardwood floors, a small table and chairs, nice cotton linens, and ceiling fans, private baths, have hot / cold water, separate fresh drinking water tap. The Jaguar Room is on ground level. It has a queen bed plus a queen futon. The Toucan Room is on the second floor and has a queen bed -- not big or fancy, but they have nice views of the sea.

Deluxe Coconut Room - our largest hotel room, 2nd floor, queen-size bed plus a queen-size futon, air conditioned, and has walk-out access to the balcony and views through the palms to the sea. Clean and comfortable.

Hummingbird and Hibiscus Room
Hummingbird room has a queen-size bed, air conditioning, garden view, some beach views. Also a set of bunk beds. Good room for a small family or friends needing separate beds.

"Joya Del Mar" - 100 feet from Main Building -- has 2 suites - A & B below

A. "2nd-Floor Beach House Suite" with 2 Balconies Cute, breezy . Nice views! Sleeps 3, with a queen bed + single daybed for a child or third adult. It has air conditioning, large windows and ceiling fans.

B. Junior Suite has queen size bed plus a single daybed, sleeping a total of 3 adults.

"Joya Del Mar". Junior suite has a queen bedroom and a daybed.

"Dreamsicle House - Adjacent to Main Building. Swimming pool gives you the choice of the the Caribbean or freshwater pool.

"Upper level Dreamsicle"
This open-style (walls between bedrooms do not go all the way to ceiling. 2 bedrooms (each with 1 queen beds), 1 bathroom, a full kitchen, open living area with views of the sea. Large windows, ceiling fans, A/C. Large balcony is the perfect place for an afternoon nap in a hammock.

"Lower level Dreamsicle"
Ground-floor apartment; 2 large rooms and 1 bathroom. Front room has a queen bed, a table and chairs, a full kitchen and A/C. Back room has two full-size beds. Both rooms have celing fans and windows facing the breeze. This apartment is very basic but it's also large, and right on the beach!

"Dreamsicle House - studio unit" - NO A/C
Compact studio unit, perfect for a single person or couple. There is a small kitchenette and a private bathroom with hot/cold water and a shower. Small -- perfect for the budget traveler. Enjoy the uniqueness of a private rental at a fraction of the price of a larger unit.

"Aqua Villa House" - We rent for the owners.
What started as a simple 2-bedroom beach bungalow is blossoming into one of the nicest accommodations options in Maya Beach. Installing plunge pool, jet tub, outdoor kitchen.
