Kitty's Place
is a secluded beach resort located on the peninsula, 1.5 miles north
of the Creole village of Placencia, 2 miles south of the Garifuna
village of Seine Bight and a short walk from the local airstrip.
The resort accommodations are built of tropical hardwoods in the
Caribbean style. The resort has a full-service restaurant and bar,
beautiful new pool, beach bar, gift shop and a large selection of
activities.

Beach Cabanas:
Two cabanas are private suites with one king-sized bed and two
twin sofa beds in the sitting area; the third cabana has two queen-size
beds. All cabanas have tiled floors, a private bath with hot water
and a tub/shower; air conditioning, ceiling fans, small furnished
kitchenette and a large veranda with hammocks. Sleeps four to six
people.

Colonial
Apartment: A
one-bedroom apartment with a queen-sized bed, fully-equipped kitchen
with potable tap water, private bath with hot water, air conditioning,
ceiling fans, two sofa beds and a veranda with hammocks. Sleeps
up to six people. Located on the second floor.
Colonial
Rooms: Two rooms on the beach, each with two double beds, private
bath with hot water, air conditioning, ceiling fans, refrigerator,
coffee maker and a veranda with hammock. Located on the first floor
below the Colonial Apartment.

Rooms: Two airy rooms divided by a courtyard of tropical flowers.
Each room has two queen-sized beds, air conditioning, ceiling fans,
private bath with hot water, refrigerator, coffee maker, a NEW private
beachside veranda with hammock, as well as a garden view deck for
sunbathing and birding. |

| Belize
Apartment: A private, rustic-style studio apartment on the second
floor overlooking the sea. One double bed, one sofa bed, full kitchen,
private bath with hot water, air conditioning, ceiling fans and a
veranda with hammocks. Sleeps three people.
Belize Rooms:
Two rooms located under the Belize Apartment. These two rooms share
a hot water bath. One room has two twin beds, the other room is
very small and has one double bed. Each room has wall fans and a
veranda with a hammock.

French Louie Caye

French Louie
Caye is a Kitty's Place's private island. The island is a small
mangrove caye 8 miles offshore with exquisite coral reefs and a
fascinating mangrove ecology. Once used a fishing camp by the locals,
it has now been adapted for tourists, while still preserving the
flavor of the local camp.
Close by are other
small islands such Loggerhead Caye, the Lark Cayes, Long Coco Caye,
Colson Caye and Scipio Caye. Most of these islands are uninhabited;
all are surrounded by pristine coral reef. At the moment we do not
have kayaks on the island, however there is a traditional wooden dory
that can be used to paddle around the area - guaranteed not to sink! |

| There
is a simple wooden house on the island: with an equipped kitchen (all
cooking utensils, stove and butane refrigerator, a small dining area,
nice covered porch and a separate bedroom with a queen bed and a bunk-bed.
You can rent this house for $300 US/night and have the island to yourself.
Or you can pitch your tent (not included) on the pristine coral sand
found in the center of the caye and enjoy catered camping - our resident
cook will offer you fresh seafood, rice and beans, and other local
dishes for you. There is a VHF radio, 12-volt electricity and several
large rain vats, so there is never a shortage of fresh water. The
bath house has a hot shower, a composting toilet and a laundry area.
Prices include transportation, food and snorkeling gear. |
