Nim Li Punit
Guesthouse & Cabins is nestled at the foot of the Maya Mountains
about 23 miles northeast of Punta Gorda. It is directly across from
the ancient Maya ruins of Nim Li Punit. The guesthouse and cabins
cater to students, groups, and the adventure traveler, and features
a main guesthouse with eight rooms on the second floor and dining
room and reception area at ground level. The facility includes an
airstrip with daily flights.
Jungle Camp
is located deep in the heart of the undisturbed Belizean rainforest,
five miles south of Nim Li Punit Guesthouse, along the Golden Stream.
There are
no roads: the only access to Jungle Camp is with a local Maya Indian
guide, who will take you down the gently flowing Golden Stream for
the four hour canoe trip to the Camp. Accommodations are basic,
African safari style. Explore trails teeming with wildlife. There
is a night boat trip for viewing nocturnal animals. If you are ready
to rough it a bit for a truly unique overnight jungle experience,
Jungle Camp is for you!
